Hi all,
I am trying to print shipping labels using CR9. The labels can have anywhere from 4 to 8 lines of print. The data source will always have 8 fields. Those that shouldn't get used will be null.

I've tried using grouping with multiple detail lines and then 'suppress blank section' but the alignment of the labels is lost.

I can code formulas for each line individually, but then future flexibility is gone.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

What is it you want to achieve here ?

One of the best methods I have found is to add all of your fields to a text object, seperating them with a press of the enter key when you need a new line.
After that, you can right click the text object, choose Format Text, and then under the Common tab, select the "Suppress Embedded Field Blank Lines" option. This will suppress those blank lines, and then move everything else up.

Also, depending on the label size you are using, you can use the Mail Label Wizard to generate everything for you.

This works great. The labels look fine.

Thanks for your help.
