I am trying to print jpg pictures of several inventory items. I use the GENERAL field to store the linked file. It works well for BMP files but print only the icon for JPG files. It worked well on WIN98 and works on some XP machines but failed on XP home edition and win2000

How to overcome this

I did more research on this.
I use APPEND GENERAL picfield FROM mypict LINK.
When you browse this fiele the GENERAL field displays the BMP files but JPG and GIF it shows only the icon and has to be clicked again to display. I think it has to do with the way JPG are associated in SETTING/CONTROLPANEL/TOOLS/OPTIONS/FILE types

I found a final solution to this using printing files rather GENERAL variables. Define a picture to print but print from a file rather from a GENERAL VARIABLE
