Hello all,
I am new to this forum and looking for some information.
We are using MAS90 and printing to DOT Matrix printers. We are looking to switch over to a laser printer. When we print to a laser printer, it is still printing continuesly (like dot matrix setup). How do I set up MAS90 to print each invoice on each page in laser printing.
Thank you in advance.

Depends...

If you are using the old Character forms then you need to adjust the length of the form. This is done by clicking on the form button within the print window.

OR you can get around it entirely by turning on graphical forms and using Crystal to print out your reports. This is done by going into the setup of whateve module your in and clicking over to the Forms tab.

I tired adjusting the length and width of the form and nothing seem to work. Does anyone know of the default settings for laser printing in terms of length and width.
Thanks

You're best bet is to use graphical forms - dot matrix forms are outdated and don't really look that great.

You could try setting up a printer in the device configurator in Library Master (this will bypass windows print drivers).

Me again....I found this on sage's knowledgebase
Code:
How to set up printers in Sage MAS 90 and 200. How to print in Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200

Entry Type: Informational

Product: Sage MAS 90, Sage MAS 200

Application: Library Master

Version Reported: 3.31

Subject:
How to set up printers in Sage MAS 90. Overall setup questions about setting up printers in Sage MAS 90 for Windows, or the Device Configurator on any Sage MAS 90 product.

Possible Resolution:
Note: Specific printing issues can be searched on Sage Software Online. Try searching on the issue itself or on the printer (brand and model) being used. Try different combinations of search words (e.g. Okidata, oki 391, oki 391, 391, etc). Just searching on the word "Print" will return too many entries to be useful.

A. Windows Printers

   1. In Sage MAS 90, make certain the File / Preferences / Character Prefs "Set as Default Windows Printer" box is NOT checked, or Windows printing will be intercepted by the Device Configurator printer set in the "Default Printer" pulldown list.
Note: Charater Prefs is not available as of Level 4.00.
   2. Sage MAS 90 will automatically print to the default Windows printer if 'Set as Default Windows Printer' box is not checked, provided that a default Windows printer has been set up in Windows. If no default printer is set up, only the option "Export to File" will be available.
   3. Sage MAS 90 will print to other Windows printers with the following settings:
      a) Click on 'Printer Setup' button in the report Options window, then select the desired Windows printer from the Printer drop-down list.
Note: Device Configurator printers, Print to File, and Deferred printing can also be selected from Printer Setup.
   4. Dot Matrix Printers with Windows Driver
      a) Verify that File / Preferences / Windows Prefs / 'Use Graphical Report Format' is enabled (checked). Any settings in Printer Prefs will not be recognized by Sage MAS 90 if this box is not checked.
      b) Veriy that File / Preferences / Character Prefs / 'Set as Default Windows Printer' box is not checked, to ensure that reports will default to the Windows printer driver.
      c) Select Printer Preferences tab, then select the printer on the printer list, select the 'Show Native Printer Fonts Only' box, then select a font other than 'Default' in the Font drop-down lists. This may require some trial and error until a desirable font is found. Selecting a native font should speed up printing considerably.
Note: Some printers (usually Epsons) will not display any native fonts. Scalable fonts can be downloaded from the Epson website at [URL unfurl="true"]http://www.epson.com/support/pdip_p.html[/URL] . Look for 'Printer Driver v2.0 (Scalable Font Support)'. The download file itself is 'MS_WIN.EXE'. It should be ok for any version of Windows. Other compatible printer drivers can also be tried. If native fonts still will not display, check if 'Show only True Type fonts' has been selected for the system.
Note: Sage Software Customer Support cannot guarantee the content or availability of third party websites. Sage Software Customer Support also cannot assist in this task.
      d) Verify that 'Use Graphical Reports' is not selected for the specific printer.

B. Device Configurator Windows Printers (Winprnt) printers:

In Device Configurator, select Device Type of 'Windows Printer', then select either 'Default Windows Printer' or the desired Windows printer from the pop-up list.
Note: The printer should be set up as a 'Local' printer if a specific Windows printer is selected. Other workstations might get "Printer in use" errors or similar if that device is selected. Setting the printer as a 'Local' printer will ensure that only that workstation will see the printer device. All local printers must have unique device codes (e.g. Do not create more than on "LP1" printer in Device Configurator)

C. Device Configurator Physical Device (DOS) printers:

Note: Device Configurator printers are not available in General Ledger and Library Master, as of Level 4.00. All modules that are upgraded to Level 4 standards use Crystal Reports, which cannot use Device Configurator printers.

   1. DOT MATRIX - Most dot matrix printers work with Epson FX Series, Epson 80 Series, or 80/132 column parallel drivers. If the printer DIP switches on the printer are set to IBM mode, IBM Proprinter driver can be used. Experimenting with other drivers in Driver Code drop-down list with user's specific printer for a good match may be required, depending on setup and emulation.
   2. LASER PRINTERS - Laser printers in Device Configurator typically work well with 'HP Laser Series II, III, or IV drivers, depending on actual printer emulation. Consult printer's manual for acceptable emulations.

D. Device Configurator printer printing to a Windows address using a DOS driver:

In Device Configurator, select Device Name of Windows Printer Port, select the Windows Printer address desired and then the DOS driver, followed by remaining attributes.
