Printing in Landscape all the time

I have a local printer HP6P in a Win2000 workstation. If I add the printer with the driver that came by default with Windows it is printing in landscape include the test page. So I have installed some older drivers that fix this problem and the test page is printing in Portrait.But everyday when I restart the PC it is back to landscape losing all my changes and printing everything in landscape again. The printing preference setting are in Portrait.

Thanks for you replay but all this happend when i tried print a test page only (from the printer setting). Withuout application open.
