Hi All,

Something that has stumped me recently is when printing the message "load letter" keeps appearing on the consoles. Another problem on other printers you have to press continue to recieve the print job.
I always thought to avoid the first problem the printer properties need to reflect A4 as a default in order for the printer to process the command??
Could this be a general workstation set-up problem with the Regional Settings?

Is this on everything you print or just certain doc types? What type of printer is it? I would suggest looking at the printers paper feed configuration somtimes it can be as simple as the paper tray guides are not set to the right paper setting.

Not everything but Adobe seems to be quite a common falling point.
The printers we are using are mainly HP2200DN (4)and a Ricoh 6513 MFD.
Does this have something to do with the workstation printer defaults?

The default should be Letter, not A4. A4 represents an actual paper size (which i believe is slightly smaller than 8.5" x 11.0").

Everything in the printer properties has to be set to A4, on the new style HP printers you have to specify A4 in the properties (location changes but mostly on Advanced tab) and also in personal preferences. It does generally appear that HP default to letter on install. I would check this first and if the printer is networked check the settings on the print server. I have had this problem numerous times and rarely found it to be the application settings but this is also possible if only defaulting to letter on certain apps.
