Hi,

I did post this question before last two month. I tried to do the local print through printer connect to the wyse terminal eg. lc|lprint. It gave me error message "lprint: terminal does not support local print". But if I login as superuser (root) it allow me to do the lprint. I have checked the permission of the file, it allow rw.

I have used the lprint command for the few previous version of SCO OpenServer. It is OK.

Any comment on this.

Thank you in advanced

JT

Is your TERM variable the same for the normal user as it is when you log in as root?

Yes. The TERM variable is same for all the log in user.

You may want to verify that it hasn't been reset by a user program by looking at the output of "env". May require you to break out of the normal log-in loop long enough to look at it. Or get an environment picture in the middle of the profile to a file you can look at later.
