Does anyone have any experience with or know how to print documents from an ASP intranet.

This must be done without opening the document in the browser!

I have tried :

set MyWord = createObject("Word.Application")
MyWord.Documents.Open("C:\something.doc")

But I get an error

cannot create activeX object

Does anyone know how to open MSword using Asp or another way to print documents off an intranet?

Thnx in advance

you might try zipping the files which will then force the users to download a copy rather than opening it in a browser window. Live long and make your kids suffer..

Hi ,
You should have MSWORD on your server to open a word document.
And if u want to print the document and stay in the server side you should have a printer linked with the server.
:)
Valérie.

Thank You for you assistance

But I have MSWord running on the server and a printer hooked up to the printer?

Does anyone have the code to open MSWord through an Asp page?
