Printing delays with XP

I am having trouble with a clipper application printing forms. The form prints fine until about 3/4 of the way through and then stalls for a few seconds then continues.

Any suggestions. This problem is only with Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Windows 98 & ME work fine.

Is your app also taking 100% CPU ? This is often the problem with printing and background jobs. If so, I have a fix for this. If not, try spooling the file to disk, then printing from file.

Hey guys I have this same problem. I have really studied this problem for hours. I think there might be a bug in Windows 2000. I have tried all the advanced setting on the printer such as print RAW, print direct to port etc. But it looks like W2K wants to spool the data coming from my Clipper App anyway.
