Are there any special issues that would need to be addressed in order to print pay checks using CR XI? For instance:

Did these checks print to a ‘Pre-Printed Form’ or was there another CR tool that allowed you to create a template with the lines and boxes?

Is there any limits to the number of checks that could be processed at one time?

If we had Signature Files could these be imported into each Check?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Did you have any issues holding the MICR Code in the exact same position on each check?

CR allows for creating lines and boxes. Create the report and save it as the name template, Crystal doesn't have templates in the fashion you envision.

No.

>If we had Signature Files could these be imported into >each Check?

Depends on wht you mean by signature files. If you mean that you would like to print a graphic, Crystal can do this, use Insert->Picture. Not every graphic type is supported of course, so post specifics.

No more so than any other object within any other program.

Thanks for your input. I was thinking that it should be no different than any other document that we create with CR. But I haven't actually worked on something that printed checks since version 8.0 and that was being printed to pre-printed forms. This client needs to print more than 4000 checks a week and the mail-merge that they were using takes forever and runs out of memory.

So I appreciate the verification. [bigcheeks]

If they don't change the printer, the positioning will remain the same. If they change the printer, the position may change a bit.
