Hello all
Has anyone had a situation like this:
IBM 6400 line printer needs to be connected as a network printer, and access machine/os is rs6000/aix(4.3).
How to make a (I guess) virtual printer, what protocol is to be used etc etc...
Is there a good document describing this (haven't found one yet).
Thank you

Is the printer going to connect directly to the network, with the optional Ethernet card, and you need to set up a queue on the RS/6000 to print to it remotely?

or via parallel or serial to the RS/6000, and you need to access it from elsewhere on the network as well?

Thanks for your fast reply - I found 2 ways of solving it, one of it is the right one that's actually working.

Printer was supposed to be on the network, not attached on a computer.
