I am trying to print a text file using crystal reports OCX from VB 6, which automatically appears to use the borland DB engine and I get the error:

IDAPI Error: Could not locate ODAPIxx.DLL
appearing on PCs where I have installed the application.

The report works perfectly on my PC and I don't have ANY files with filename ODAPI*.DLL ??????

Does anyone know what this error is all about, or is there an simpler way to have a text file viewable/printable via the crystal OCX ?

Are you connecting via ODBC?
Is the DSN on the target PC?
Have you tried the connect property? Ken Hamady

No, I am not connecting via ODBC, the database driver it is using is the borland DB engine driver.

Is ODBC a better option for text file printing ???

Thanks for the reply mate.

I have only seen ODBC as a method for creating reports against text files.

What version of CR are you using?
How did you initially connect the report to this data source? Ken Hamady
