Printing AppleWorks Document in Colour

My computer runs on Windows XP. The beautifully coloured backgrounds & coloured fonts on the screen print out in shades of black and grays. Is it possible that AppleWorks won't run properly with XP? Or, what else can I do?

Just one quick question.
Is the Page Setup of your printer OK?

Check to see if its a color printer, then when you hit print see if color is selected
