Hi,

Has anyone found a way to print an RS report directly from the web, formatted to fit to an entire page and set to horizontal/vertical orientation?

I know you can adjust the page size in the report properties, but that is no way near flexible enough.

At the minute, i'm having to advise my users to export to excel, set the print properties of the worksheet, then print.

Obviously, they're none too impressed.

Cheers,
Leigh

If you have service pack 2 installed, this is a standard feature, i believe

Ahh, i wasn't aware RS had SP 1 available, let alone 2!

Good old MS, if only they'd wait until a product worked before releasing it!

Thanks for the tip.

Hey Leigh - definiately get ALL the SPs you can - there is a specific print driver issue which prevents printing from the IE toolbar - also watch out for Excel file sizes when you do export as they tend to be huge

Printing is NOT the strong suit for this app !

Other things to watch out for are EXACT textbox sizing and the "Can Expand" property - both of which can seriously mess with printing - even the slightest overlap in textboxes / sections can cause problems in printing...

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
