Have an application that requires printing to remote printers across an Internet based VPN. If I am only going to print from Hdq. to branch printers across the VPN can I have a single public static ip address at the branch and just assign the printers a private static ip address?

We have the same situation here. Let me know the possible solutions you come up with, and I will do the same.

Thanks,

Sheila

Need details....

The remote printing shouldn't be a problem but it's hard to advise without details.

Our setup is as follows....

10.1.3.x <--- aDSL - IPSEC - 2mb fibre ---> 10.1.1.x
The 10.1.3.x network sends print jobs to an HP Laserjet 4050 N (w/ Jetdirect) which resides at 10.1.1.250 on a static IP.

The opposite direction is also possible.

Regards,
Jim
