Printing a Grid

I am trying to print vertical lines across a number of different Headers in a report. Each header has a few bound controls, all set to Grow and Shrink. When I draw vertical lines, I cannot seem to set them to grow with the fields. I've tried to group them, doesn't work. Am I going to have to place an image in the backround to get the grid?
