I'm using Access 2003 with connectivity to an SQL server. My question is, when I create an ADE from my ADP it appears that users can not save settings for printers. In particular I need a user to set a specific printer and have that printer never change for that report. The problem: access reverts back to the orginal printer after printing the report. Is there a way around this?

ADE (and MDE) do not allow changes to report settings which are where the printer is stored - in design you can set a specific printer or let it choose the default printer.

I have seen some code somewhere that allows you to set the printer at run-time therefore I guess if you can load the printer name against a specific user it would work. Shall I go hunting for it?

I think I can figure it out for now. Thanks for your help.
