I am running Windows 7, with an HP psc 1350 all in one. Everything was running great for several months.

I refilled the black and white ink cartridge because I ran out of ink - instead of buying a new ink cartridge.

Ever since I refilled the cartridge, it just won't print anymore. The printer has a red light "Check printer". I know the cartridge is seated properly, and I did remove the strip from the contact point.

I am able to photocopy just fine. But if I print a document from word, the printer is unresponsive. I cleared the print spool, restarted the computer, and nothing has worked.

I can photocopy but not print. Am I missing something?

My first guess is this sounds like a printer problem, not a windows problem; maybe a problem with re-filling the cartridge ???

Have you tried a new (factory) cartridge?
Have you checked the error in your printer manual?

how is the printer connected to your pc? USB or Networked

Actually I managed to solve the problem, and as usual when the problem is solved it turns out to be such a quick and easy thing, that you never considered to check.

I went to the printer settings, where it shows the documents queued, and the it was set to "pause printing" so I unchecked it.

I guess windows automatically pauses all print jobs when you change the cartridge? Thanks for your replies regardless
