Does red show on any of the internal test sheets?

no, in fact when i do the nozzle check to see if the heads need cleaning, only the blue and yellow lines show up...no red. its really weird.

sounds like a clogged nozzle, there is a way to remove the head and soak it in isopropanol alcohol but if you're not inclined, tuck some rags under the head, and put some iso into a spray bottle, spray it, turn it upside down to drain and repeat a few times. Isopropanol because it is virtually free of water.
Or toss it and get a cheap LJ.
