Printer problems

I have an HP LJ8150 on the network that is giving me problems. I am constantly getting "Printer Busy or Error" messages when I look at the queue, or sometimes it prints VERY slowly, at the rate of 1 page per 5 minutes. Other times, it works perfectly.

We've switched it out with a temporary printer at the same port to check the network, and the new printer started printing jobs immediately, so we thought the problem was with the printer.

We moved the 8150 to another port, and it started to print immediately. When we moved it back to its original port, it started to print immediately also. But now, it is giving me those error messages again.

HELP!!

The only thing I could recommend is to move the spooler file of the C:\ and to another area. Maybe the server is really busy and the page file is hogging C:\ try running performance monitor on the box and see where its struggling

are both port that you plugged the problem child in on the same physical switch or hub. The problem could be that a port could be hard coded for Duplex or a certain speed i would check the settings on the switch if it is managable. Thanks
