Can anyone help me out. I am having a problem with printing from 1 terminal server /Citrix server. The installed printers are shared off of a print server. The problem is not at the print server because 4 other terminal servers print fine to the exact same printer.

I can't print even if I am logged onto the console of the terminal server. When printing a test page, I get a message that the printer is missing files or the driver is not completely installed.

I have tracked it down to only printers using the unidrv.dll driver. Any printer not using that driver is fine.

Uninstalling and re-installing the printers do not work. My guess is that the unidrv file on the local terminal server does not get overwritten.

I am thnking of deleting the unidrv.dll file when everyone is iff the system, then restoring from backup. Does anyone have any better suggestions. Also, that file is constantly in use. Will getting everyone off the system make me be able to delete or rename it?

Thanks in advance.

I believe you'll have to stop the print spooler service in order to alter that file.

Make sure that the print driver on the Print server matches the driver on the client.

The the print server looks for the printer name, and driver of the client, and looks for the same instance of printer name and driver on the server side.

Is your printer even being redirected when you're in a term session?
