Printer Problem

I have an EPSON 440 printer, I have tried cleaning the printheads but the black text has lines missing through the text.
Can you buy a new print head to replace the old one if so how much, roughly, or is it just not worth replacing and buy a new one.

You could take it to get it repaired, but in the long run you will be better off getting a new printer. I would suggest a HP930 series or the Lexmark x53

Replacement probably in the range of 75.00 to 135.00. But you could also have a driver blown or a bad cable.
You might look on e-bay for a head, or possibly for a parts machine. Ed Fair
