I am having a problem with one PC running Win2000 and Office97. If I open a Word doc and print it, the first time everything prints fine. If I open another file and print it, All I get is lines across the page. The workstation is on Novell 5.1 and the printer is a laserjet 4000 using a jet direct card to connect to the network. I know my network config and my printer config are OK since 15 other people print to that same printer fine. a couple of them are running 2000 the rest running 95. it only happens in word thats it. I even tryed has anyone ran across a problem like this before?

Thanks in advance

Could be many things with your description,
Is your Netware server running NDPS?

Id start by verifying that the PC has latest print driver for that OS.

Had the same problem with my own printer interface.

The problem was with the Driver of the Printer and the OS.

Both wanted to use what they considered the propper Driver.

After afew days of study of what was occuring, I Allowed the OS to pick the driver it wanted to use.

Only overseeing that it was a correct Driver for the Printer and the correct OS.

Yes correct OS,.. While the reinstall of the Driver was taking place the OS kept reading it-self as W95,WME,WXP,WNT and then W2000.

After the Driver was installed I did a reboot, Saw the Driver worked, then did a complete shut-down, and waited for 1 hour before I restarted the computer and used the Printer.

It could be anther problem, but this is what I did and it worked. [cheers]
