We added a printer on our ME machine. I added the printer via the wizard and all appears to be fine. However when I print the test page, we get an error stating that a network connection cannot be made. What troubles me is that I can ping the ip address of the printer fine from the ME machine from the command prompt.

Any suggestions sure would be appreciated..

Thanks,
Mike

that's as clear as mud mate

are you talking about using the printer on a network or as a local printer or both ????

First, thanks for taking the time and responding...

I added the printer via the wizard as a local printer defining the printer's port with the ip address assigned to printer. The printer is on our local network, ethernet connections. The ME machine is also connected via the network thru the ethernet. We also have some wireless connections in our office.

I can ping the printer's ip address, but when I try to send a print job, it comes back with the "network connection" error message..

Hopefully this makes things a little clear. If not I can elaborate a little more if need..

Thanks,
Mike
