Printer Not Found error when running complied reports

Hello,

I have aproblem which is bugging me now. I am using Crystal Dev. 8.5 edition.
I have complied a report,a dn installed run time files on other pc so they can run the report.

When the users try to print report to printer, they get the following error message:
"Printer not found".

Other windows pacakges (word excel etc) print OK from these other pc. This problem happens on some pc, and not on all.

Has anyone come across it? Would anyone know what files I need to check?

did you compile your report with save data?
and do the user have the printer driver instaal on there computer, since only parts of user cant print

Hello! thanks for replying back to me..

this is a funny problem... the report is not run with saved data.

The same report works on some an not others. But one thing I noticed, if I save, complile and run the report on other pc, it does not work on some. But if I rename the same report, and complile it, it will work on other pc's that had the original problem.

The users that have problems printing from Crystal reports, do not haev any problems printing from noral Windows packages.

We had the same problem with printers. We had a printercheck in the application to verify if the printer exists. This check is looking on the local machine for printers but that are only local installed printers where the spooler is on the local system. With networked printers there is nog local ini-file or something like that to determine if the printer exists. I removed the check and now it's working fine. I still need to find a way to do the printer-check but that's on the "wishlist" here... Maybe your problem has something to do with this so... succes
