From what i have looked at, i would say it is... when we choose printers we just need to make sure they are PCL compliant and use those codes...
have you checked that you can see the share from the UNIX machine?
cd /usr/local/samba/bin
smbclient -L <PC Name>
on the PC turn off firewall
enable guest
and in local security policy > local policy > User rights assighnment > deny access to this computer from the network > (remove guest from there)
