Printer Firmware Upgrade Tool

Hi All,

I used to have a really cool tool that I could use to upgrade my HP printers' firmware remotely (I.e. sat on my fat rear!) but I seem to have lost it. (It wasn't web based)

I have been trying the latest HP Web Jetadmin utility but in DeviceMgt-Tools-MultiFirmwareUpdate-PrinterFirmwareUpdate no devices are shown (although it does tell me that 0 of 31 devices are shown.

My Jetdirect cards show up fine in this software. Can anyone lend there expertise here in either telling what I seek or where I've messed up?

Try HP download manager. It's not web based. Much EASIER to use.
The web based product is a real pain to setup.

Thanks Net, sorry been asleep

I've now tried the Download Manager but this only lets me look at my Jetdirect Card firmware and not the actual printer firm ware.

I am currently in the process of using the System Maintenance tool but this makes you manually enter the IP address of the Printer and I don't really fancy doing this 30 or 40 times for different printers never mind each SM is printer specific so I have to download one for each printer I have.

I used to have a tool exactly like the download manager just for printers..... admittedly tho madness is setting in quickly.

Can anyone assist?

Use Hp WebJet admin.

In the web based webjetadmin have you SUCCESSFULLY discovered all your printers?
I had to go through several iterations of portions of the tool to have printers show up ion the printer fw update.
