Hello,

Microsoft suggest taking this policy off, somewhere in the kernal. Does anybody know where I can remove this policy off?

Regards

If you are referring to using Kernel 2 type drivers, I believe that Microsoft warns against it. These type of drivers can make your Windows 2003 server unstable. But if you must, here you go. (cut and pasted from another website)
=========================================================
In windows 2003 server, version-2 drivers will no longer be accepted in a default installation.
To enable the installation of kernel mode printer drivers; run gpedit.msc -> Computer Config -> Administrative Templates -> Printers -> Disallow installation of printers using kernel-mode drivers.
Again: preferably do not enable this unless absolute nessesary!!!

Excellent, thanks for your help
