Printer Clean Up

I have a 2003 server that is sharing printers for the domain. I would like to consolidate the printers into a folder called Printers. Is this possible?

Printers are shared, so they are visible in the list of shares for that machine (server).

The machine has several shared folders for users as well as printers. From the \\Server\ location is where all of the printers show up as well as other shared resources. I would like to create \\Server\Printers\ share to clean up the look of \\Server\. Can this be done?

That's too bad. It would be nice to be able to share the printers into their own folder, or the ultimate goal was to share them in the appropriate departments folder. Thanks for your time.

If you're running Windows Server 2003 R2, then printer management is MUCH more streamlined, and tied to GPOs. VERY slick.

I am running 2003 R2. Can you elaborate on the use of GPOs with printers.

I too have tried to get the printer icons out of my root share. I have found no way to do so.
