Hi,

I am runnning windows XP pro and i have a network printer installed. Every so often after a fairly lengthy time when i try and print something i get a print spooler error. i have checked the print spooler service and it says it is running. If i restart my computer then i can print again until another lengthy period and i have to restart.

has anybody got any ideas??

cheers for any help.

I've am having the same problem with 3 computers here at work that print locally and through the network. They can print from the network fine, it's just locally that's giving them a problem.

We have had the same issue. It turned out to be our McAfee virus protection. We have had to tell McAfee to exclude scanning the C:\windows\system32\spool folder. Hope this helps.
