I am wanting to print one report but display the contents of two tables. Each table can vary in it's row count. So let's say table one has 12 rows and table two has 22 rows. But next time table one may have 40 rows and table two may only have 9 rows. How can I do this. Along with that I still want to be printing other misc variables to the report. It is basically a combination of mutltiple reports in one. Any ideas?

Hi Acorbally,

In short your need is equivalent to two different "Detail Bands" as per Report Writer.

You can do it in two ways ;
1) Write a program, to print the report. This way you can have maximum flexibility, but more lines of code to write and lots of testing.

2) If you are using Report Writer, create a temperory file having one memo field. Fill the memo field with the data of one of the tables with formatting. In Report Writer, click the Stretch Vertically Tab. And all the items below it should have "Float as Band Stretches" clicked.

Hope this helps

Regards
Ams
