Hello all,

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated...Does anyone know how to turn the "Print Job Complete" notification that can pop up on a clients PC when the job has finished buffering?

I have a Win2K box that has several network printers shared out of it, and it would be nice to be able to provide this service to them, so they dont have to go to the printers and wait.

Many thanks in advance!

Hey.

Don't know if this helps but go into printers on the w2k print server, go to the file menu and select server properties. Providing you are logged on as some type of administrator, there should be an advanced tab. Somewhere on there, there'll be a box saying something like "notify when documents are printed". If you uncheck this, the boxes should disappear.

Hope this helps

Wotsit,

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunaetly that option isnt available. Dont know why. Im logged in as Admin, and I check on several different print drivers, but it wont give me that option.

Any thoughts?

Many thanks!

Hi,

Check to make sure you have the messenger and alerter services started on the workstations as they wont receive/display the "print job completed" message if not.

Cheers
