print from dos window

I was running W95. Had a dos app that ran fine in a dos window. It printed to my printer ok.

Upgraded to W98SE. Same app now pukes trying to print from dos window. Prints ok in dos mode.

My recollection is that in W95 the dos window properties allowed me to set "print direct"

In W98 there is no such setting for the dos window.

Any ideas?

Found the problem. Had to turn off DOS spooling in Printer Properties/Port Settings.
