I have a query that runs on 2 tables, it gives a list of names and days. There are about 100 names and each name has 15 days (1500 records). When I group the report by names, can I print the days accross the page instead of downwards?

Thanks in advance.

Patrick,

It sounds like you want a multi-column report. In Design view, click on File, then Page Setup. Click on the Columns tab. Specify the number of columns you want, then select Across, then Down for the column layout.

Another option might be a crosstab query but without seeing your current data and how you want it displayed, it is difficult to determine.

Basically the query returns the following

Name Day
---- ---
Mary Monday
Mary Tuesday
Mary Friday
John Wednesday
John Thursday
John Friday
John Sunday
... ...

Each name will have multiple days, but not all names have the same number of days.
I'm trying to get a report to print:

Mary Monday Tuesday Friday
John Wednesday Thursday Friday Sunday

Hope this makes it a bit clearer.

Thanks,
Patrick

I would group the report by the Name field (which BTW is not a good "Name" for it), then follow my above post for multiple columns...
