is it possible to print a field vertically in a page from the page header and cross the detail and stop a the page footer??
Thanks in advance

I'm not sure what rotating the text accomplishes if you want the letters displayed vertically. I would try Ido's suggestion and create a new page header section, and go to format section->page header_b (new one) and then click on the up arrow to make it become page header_a. Then in the same screen, format section->page header_a check "underlay following sections."

Next place the field you want to display in page header_a and resize it so that it is only about one character wide and then stretch it until you almost (but not quite) reach the page footer. Then change the font size to as large as you wish and again adjust the width of the field to about one character--you will still have some letters cut off or appearing in the same row. To correct this, go to format font->spacing->character spacing exactly: and enter something like 20. You might need to fool around with this number, but this will ensure that only one character appears per "row."
