Hi,

My primary server does not update with the latest virus definition. When you click on the update now button it connects to the symantec site and downloads the def but the version date from November. I now update all my other W2K servers individally and their updates are displayed correctly with the current date. The primary server used to work and download the latest definition to all the other servers and their clients. Three weeks ago instead of waiting for the primary server to do its early am download I forced a download because of the goner virus then my system hasn't worked since. HELP!!!!!!

Thanks

Thank you Yizhar for your advice. I submitted a system diagnostic to Symantec and I am waiting for them but it seems to be taking very long for a reply from them. I have multiple servers that I can promote but they all have limited disk space and the logs files that arre generated from this program eats up much of that free space. What is involved with rebuliding the original primary server? Would I loose int info within my server group?

Thanks

HI.

If you have limitted disk space on your servers, the best cost effective solution is to add disk space.
In addition to that you can check out what is taking the space, if it is NAV CE then check your AMS configuration.

Changing the primary server is transparent, no configuration should be lost or changed, but you should verify that after the change.

Bye
