I am trying to program a certain phone extension in our office to get all voicemails for unanswered external calls.

Build a mailbox or use General Delivery
Under Line Access make sure ALL lines in question are set to Appear and Ring or Ring Only.
Under Capabilities set the Call Forward No Answer to the DN of the voice mail system
Setup the Ring Count to answer in.

If unsure of the above, how to enter programming, its password and navigation then suggest you call a tech/vendor.

Delayed Ring Transfer (DRT) is the feature that does exactly what you want: transfers unanswered external calls to a given extension.

You will need to log into programming and make a few changes:
[ol 1]
[li]Lines > Trunk/Lines Data > Prime Set
This is where you enter the extension number of the phone that needs to ring for unanswered external calls. You can also enter the extension number of the voicemail itself. In that case, unanswered external calls will end up in the General Delivery mailbox.[/li]
[li]System Programming > Feature Settings > DRT to Prime
This is where you turn on the Delayed Ring Transfer feature. Make sure it is set to Y.[/li]
[li]System Programming > Feature Settings > DRT Delay
This is where you customize the number of rings before unanswered external calls start ringing the prime set (or are picked up by the voicemail, if the prime set is the voicemail itself).[/li]
[/ol]

T7316E is a model of phone connected to your system. It would help a lot if you could tell the exact model and software version of your phone system, as well as the exact model and software version of your voicemail. Depending on your hardware, there might be different ways to get what you want.

I have already done this. The voicemails for unanswered external calls for our line 266 are currently going to extension 231 but need to go to 229. All of the phones are set to the voicemail DN 472.

I also don't have a clue as to the exact model and software version this phone system is.. I was kind of "handed" dealing with our phone system.

In regards to my post then as not to confuse with DRT....

-do you have 266 assigned to Ring at 231?
-do you have 266 assigned to Ring at 229?
-if 266 needs to ring at both then what is the CFNA Ring count set to at both 231 and 229? 229 needs to be less.
