what's the difference between a cs1000 PRI v.s. Tie line loop?
 
That depends on what your talking about if it's a tie line with a DCH there is no difference. If your talking about tie lines without there is a big difference, the digits are sent over the Xmit side to the other end. Pri sends the info over the DCH

PRI has 23B (for voice) channels and 1D (for signaling) channel on a single PRI. This allows you to pass CLID.
A T1 uses all 24 channels for voice and does not pass CLID
A Tie line can be either, Basically a Tie line is a point to point connection.
