Can anyone tell me if a pri tie trunk can be configured between two Nortel CS1000's using a Cisco 3800 series router without using QSIG?

I believe you can configure the circuit in the cisco as a T1, then run whatever protocol you want on it from the Nortel endpoints.

Hawks and Allenmac, I believe that cisco says that if you are provisioning isnd pri voice circuits that they only support qsig or nte3. I'm not really sure what nte3 is. Usually there is a work around for something like this, I was looking for the work around. We are trying to tie two systems together that are separated geographically by using our intranet.

The cisco should not care what type of data is being carried. You are just provisioning a T1 from the WIC or VWIC of one 3800 to the same interface on a remote 3800. The PBX then takes the T1 (ESF B8ZS) signal and formats the pipe for use as a TIE PRI.

this is what worked for me.

Mookefe69,

I noticed that your IFC is ISFG (which is QSIG). The problem that I am having is that one of the switches does not have QSIG capability.
