Hello,

Could you please help. I have a system that i am installing a PRI circuit and I cant get the outgoing part of the PRI working it works great for the inbound DIDS . the system has the following cards the system is a MAGIX 4.0 V 7.0 METAL CABINET AND THE EXPANSION CAB ALSO METAL. The following cards are installed slot 1 412 slot 2thru 5 016 etr cards
expansion cab 1st slot 016 t/r 2nd and third slot 800 iclid 4th slot merlin meassing 5th slot 412 slot 6 100DSI PART NUMBER 617N15 . i have two questions for now can the T1 card be installed in slot 11 and if so what is the first line number 825 correct? what happens is when an outgoing call is placed the user gets a second or two of silence and the a system reorder tone like a busy sound.

THANK YOU

Well ok the first part of this question was to make sure i could install the T1 card in the last slot and yes i did know about the issues with the 016 tr card. so what i did is i backed the system up then i installed the T1 card in the second slot of the main cab did a board remunber and reprogramed the T1 settings all over again using the step by step set up i got here . I got the same results two second delay and a fast busy reorder .

thank you for your time please help

Give an extension Pool Dial Out Code access to the pool of PRI channels. Dial your call with the pool code. This bypasses ARS and routing tables. See what happens. Post your ARS and PRI printouts here.

Well when i programed the pri circuits it put a line btn on the operators phone so i pressed the btn for line 825 and dial out but maybe this still does not pass restrictions because i got the same results. So i defaulted the entire system programed just what i needed 3 digit ext , hybrid, and of course PRI programing and got the same results on a almost defaulted proc.

this is all leading towards a bad proc ?

You CAN'T dial directly on a PRI channel via a line button. You have to dial the call, and let the D channel communicate with the central office. That's why you need to dial 9 and let ARS do the work, or dial the pool code. Pressing # at the end signals the end of dialing and bypasses the "second or two of silence" at the end.

Now, didn't we address this here:
Help us help you. Print and post your PRI and ARS setups.

ritelcarlos,

My sentiments as well! We asked you to post the requested info in that other thread, and you never did! We can't help you, if you don't cooperate with simple requests...

Have you doubled checked with the provider. I have seen this exact thing when they send Ni2. You could get calls in but never out.

TOUCHTONETOMMY OR ANYONE PLEASE CHECK MY PROGRAMING

THANK YOU

See Legend/Magix Initial PRI Setup
faq689-3784. I have used this guide(thanks to tek-tips) for years and have not had problems unless I miss something. You do not have a number to send programmed which could be the problem.

Doing a Stare and Compare between your print outs and one of my sites that that works, the only things I see different:

Pattern 9 should be set to 9 instead of 0

My working site is set to "By extension" instead of "By Line"

I assume that you have Lines 813 through 835 in Pool 70?

Are you set to ESF, B8ZS?

From the cheat sheet: "IF YOUR CENTRAL OFFICE IS A 4ESS OR A 5ESS THE PRI SERVICE SHOULD BE AT&T CUSTOM PROTOCOL"

I'm still thinking it's on the provider's side.

THANK YOU what par of the program would i change for the 2 programs that are different

Hello,
Well i finally have everything working and you were all correct it was the provider .

I do need help on one more thing the customer is now dialing out using the PRI circuit however the carrier does not allow 800 calls to go thru i do have 8 copper lines in the system that are in group 890 and the PRI is in group 70 could someone please tell me how i can program the 800 calls to go out using pool 890.
