PRI Setup Suggestions

I will be changing over my T1's to PRI. Both local and long distance. I have the Magix r2 processor with older legend modules. I was told my 100D's support PRI. Never have done this I wanted to get some opinions.

1. Is this easy enough to change if I'm familiar with winspm, or would you suggest I get an avaya programmer?
2. I'm staying with same carrier, just upgrading to PRI. I'm thinking I'll need to change all my fax lines to DID. Is this something the carrier does, or do I need to program that on the phone system as well?
3. If I follow the FAQ on PRI setup for both my 100D modules will that be all the setting I need to change, or are there others not mentioned in the document?

Depends on your level of Expertice....

You can "MASSAGE" up to 16 different "INCOMING NUMBERS" to go to somewhere within your DIAL PLAN.

The Vendor does some, you will have to do the rest.

It depends on what the Vendor is sending you, and how you want it to route within your dial plan.

I spend HOURS engineering these cut-overs for folks who (1) DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO ORDER, because (2) THE VENDOR's SALES STAFF DID NOT KNOW HOW TO SELL IT IN THE LEGEND/MAGIX Enviornment.

Depends on if you are doing it LIKE THE BOOK or if the Vendor will throw you any curves... (National PRI, By LINE Appearence, what ever.....)

If your provider is MCI, they will not support Line Appearance on a PRI.

We use ELI, and I haven't discussed anything with my sales contact. Would you have some information I should give them to make the transition easier?

Another question: We are using some ADTRAN TSU's. Would you suggest we keep using these, or should we plug in directly to the 100D Modules? We have one for LD, and one for Local.
