I am trying to upgrade a MICS V5 to PRI The telco only allows me to use 4, 7, or 10-digits my 4 digits starts with 0 my 7th digit starts with 5. and the PRI will not allow me to use 10-digits. I am unable to use the 7-digits as my number starts with a "5" and for the life of me I can't find where in the system the digit "5" is used. Anyone please help

5 is probably used for DN's

Items that use codes:
DN's -including Hunt Groups,Companion (XC software), maybe Auto and DISA
External Code
Park code
Pool Code
Destination Code
Direct Dial
Target Line

0 can often be hidden/converted by the carrier if you tell them the issue.

If your system is set to fewer digits then what they are sending then it should also work.

Wait for more replies from the guru's on this one.

I forgot to add the example.
If you have the Carrier send 10 and you set the KSU to 3 then that should work.
3 would avoid the 0 issue.

Here's the MICS manual. Check out page 459 for a list of program areas than can cause conflicts.

If all else fails have the telco do a digit substitution or "drop and insert". Example: you set your system to receive 4 digits and the telco substitutes and sends you a 3, 4 or 6 or other digit in place of the 0.

Hi Curlycord.
Thanks for you help I looked everywhere for the digit "5" cant find it but I am going to try the seven digits and program the PRI to receive "6"digits and see if that works. I have never programmed a PRI to be different than what the provider sends.
Sure will let you know if it works
Thanks again for your help
Ron

Thanks bcmfiftyfan,
If the above does not work I will try to see if the telco will do what you suggest
Again Thanks for your help
