I have 2 MICS (7.1 SW on both) that are linked via a PTP microwave T1 that have channels 1-4 and 24 dedicated me in the DAX to use for the phone system. In past years, I had this working when I had the DTI cards in each system set up as a T1 with auto answer E&M trunks. Recently the company decided to add centralized voice mail and purchased a Call Pilot 150, The MICS PRI enabler for each end, and the MICS Private networking option for each end. So…in order to utilize centralized voice mail, I now have to make the DTI card type PRI. I have 4 digit DNs set up on each system and I configured all card settings, routing and destination codes set up identical to mrobert’s FAQ on setting up centralized voice mail(faq7995317). The only difference is, I set up the clock source to be timing master on one side and primary on the other (because I am a PTP T1…not a true PRI; but I have tried them both as primary) and I also deprovisioned channels 5-23 in the provisioning menu as well as in the link status menu so that it would grab channels 1-4. Anyway, when I try and dial an extension across the network, it always says “no free lines”. I tried to disable and re-enable the DTI cards on each side simultaneously but it still doesn’t work. I believe what I will try next is to bring one of the systems to the other site at night and see if they will work back to back with a crossover T1 cable. Has anybody else had trouble with this before? Am I forgetting anything?
