I have installed a PRI on a sx-200 ICP 3.1 using the embedded T1 card. The trunks are set up in the dial in trunks table with the proper amount of digits. All incoming DID calls seem to work and route fine. I currently have copper ground start trunks in the system for normal outbound and incoming calls. Incoming call routing also works fine on the PRI, but outbound does not work on the PRI. All outbound calls currently use trunk group 1 and modify digit table 1 thru the ARS on the copper trunks and work. To test the PRI outbound (which will eventually replace all of the copper trunks) I simply put the the PRI trunks into trunk group 1 useing all of the exsisting ARS routing that was used on the copper trunks and I just get a fast busy immediately after dialing. If I go back to the copper trunks all works fine. Do I have to program something different in the ARS or modify digit table to be able to complete outbound calls on the PRI or an I missing something else in setup somewhere to allow outbound on the PRI. This PRI is also used for DID incoming. What am I missing?

Depending on how they are set up PRI trunks sometimes require "Steering Digits" to access "Call by Call" features.

The 000 in the response above are an example.

The first zero selects bandwidth
The second selects facility type
the third selects Calling Name Number delivery

Each of these items can be fixed to specific values thus eliminating the need for them in the modify digits form.

I suggest you start by addin 3 zeros in your modify digits and reduce by one for each failure to access an outside call.

If 3 zero's works, use the entry described above.

There is an island of opportunity in the middle of every difficulty.
Miss that though, and you're pretty much doomed!

if you use the method I have indicated and you have a Pri card it works for both. With Imat you want all the control out of the card and you want the control in form 22, if you use this method it works for both, less confusion possbily. If you fix these digits and use a Pri card you are stuck, not good. Consistency is good
