I installed a PRI on a magix, everything works great ,however I cannot route 1 DID #. The last 4 digits
is 0205.I am trying to route to 770. I am receiving 4 digits from Bell co. My pattern to match is 0205 ,deleted
4 digits and added 770. Again all my other DID's are routing to extensions ,no other problems ,but this one thing. Avaya has a ticket open on this issue. The extensions vary from the 2000's to 6800. I think the system is having a problem with the 0.

I had the same issue with a customer and the VENDOR, NOT AVAYA had to do some custom programming to make it work.

As I recall the vendor was Cbeyond and the Tech had to set something special to make his switch "TAKE" the 0.

I remember we had to postpone the cut until he could figure it out.

Actually, it was with another vendor.

I found the original documentation from the Tech and here is what he said/did:

The DMS does not work very well with 4E and 5E protocol variants. A problem we have become aware of is generating a setup message with 0 being the leading digit in the called number. A way around this that we have found and tested in a lab environment, is to manually adjust the TON (type of number) being sent with the called number. By creating a customized PRI profile to send the TON as “unknown” no digits will be removed by the peripheral the trunks are built on. [/color blue]

I hope this helps!

Have Telco translate the number to something in teh 2000 range.

Thanks All. XO Communications Insists that they are sending the 0. THEY ARE NOT . I mapped out to accept 3 digits.Pattern to match is 205 (Not 0205)delete 3 digits, and added 770 ,works great !So much for my carrier sending that 0!

I could provide the TECH's NAME at XO that sent me the note, and a few more bits of info from him.

But at this point, you would be beating a dead horse.

I still think they need to be made aware of the note I got from the other tech as posted above.
