Have a new PRI on a Legend R7 just turned up - can get calls in with "By Dial Plan" sending 4 digits from the CO.

Can't make any calls out - get a fast busy CO says everything fine on their end but they don't see the Legend even seizing a channel.

23 channels in group 1 with lines assigned and all 23 lines in pool 70

What am I missing - switch type is DMS-100

Thanks,
Dphoneguy24

Tell your Provider to make sure that L1 flag in the trunk sub group is set to yes on their equipment & post a PRINT of your PRI for further analysis.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Just found out the provider is set to NI2 - shame on them.

If they (the Telco) are emulating a DMS 100 - make sure the protocol is set to NI-1, and not NI-2.

My earlier message addressed the NI2 and NI1 issue. The provider was set to NI2 not NI1. Got that issue resolved. Incoming calls working fine - provider sending 4 digits - had to program PRI - incoming digits expected 4 digits to add or delete is 0 - incoming calls good.

Outgoing is the problem - provider monitored the D-Channel and never saw any data setup for outgoing calls.

The system gives a fast busy immediately.

Going to try a new DS-1 card on Wednesday, but I find it hard to believe that it works for incoming and not outgoing on a PRI, but who knows - will keep everyone posted on what happens.

It's probably not your T1 module. I would have them reboot on their end - followed by a reboot on your end. You may also want to triple-check your PRI programming for the outbound side - to ensure it is correct. If you have changed the PRI switch-type setting multiple times (in trying to get this to work) - you may need to reprogram the PRI from scratch. I've had to do that on several occaisions to get the system working correctly for outbound calls. If you have a backup version that was pre-PRI installation - reconfigure the system and restore the back-up; reinstall the T1 - and reprogram the PRI from scratch.
You could also post your current programming PRI info here - as suggested by photon33

In the Special Service Table - all the entries should be 0. You need to change the 3 to a zero, same with the 1.

Do this:

Under Outgoing Table (Spec Svc) = Outgoing Tble, Spec Svc, Delete Digit, 0>enter, bckspc, 0, next (do same for all), back, back.
Under Outgoing Table (CBC Svc) = CBC Svc, Patterns, 00>enter, 0>next, 1>next, 2>next...(all the way thru…9>next
Under Network Service = Network Svc, 0>enter, Misc, No Svc>enter, back/exit, back/exit.

Now retry your outbound calls (local and long distance.

Update - can call local and toll-free now work.

When dialing LD you get the Legend siren tone.

Currently checking with the provider to make sure that LD is enabled.

The provider had something missing for LD - Everything works now :)

Thanks for the help tdaugirdas !!!!!!!!

entry to 0, etc until all entries, 0-7 are 0.

If this is a strictly long-distance PRI, leave the DEL DIGIT values at default.

If the switch type is 5ESS, the protocol MUST be set for “AT&T CUSTOM”.
If the switch type is DMS-100, the protocol MUST be set for “NTNAPRI”
Additionally, if the switch type is DMS-100, the field “L1 flags” in the “Trunk
Sub Group” table should be set to yes. This is more critical when using DS1 cards
With an Apparatus code beginning with “517M”. These particular DS1 boards WILL NOT work properly without this parameter set.
