We are installing a Magix PRI connected to a CO with a DMS switch.

Should I ask for "Custom" or does a DMS have a similar protocal that will work with a Magix?
Any other things to look out for when connected to a DMS?

Most of the PRIs I have done have been connected to 5ESS and as long as I asked for Custom, I never had an issue.

Thanks!

On a DMS, you may want to make it NTNA, if they cannot get it to do AT&T Custom.

I am also hooking up a PRI from a DMS switch. The provider is able to see my switch and I am able to receive DID but I am not able to call out on the PRI. When I call out I receive a fast busy the yellow light on the board comes on as if it is in use. I also get a error of POOL EMPTY. Could this be a problem with the provider. The lines are in pool 70.

More than one thing can be wrong, but the first I would suspect is that you have not populated a PRI Table.

Can you remotely access this system and print the PRI stuff for us to see?

That would be the easiest way for us to figure this out.

You only are sending 7 digits out for your number to send. Typically you will need to send all 10 digits for the CO to accept and route the call out. Are they only expecting 7?

Also, in your special services table 6, you are deleting the "1" from any 1+area code numbers. If the CO is looking for the "1", you will have to change this value to "0". Most cases I have run into the CO is looking for just Area+ number, but just in case.

Kwikwire,
In addition to what Telecomboy found , the "Call-by-Call Service Table" Pattern entries are missing! There should be a pattern match for Entry 0 with digits 0 thru 9 as follows:

Pattern 0:0
Pattern 1:1
thru
Pattern 9:9

Without these entries NO outgoing calls will work on a generic CO PRI! I learned this on my first PRI installation.

Thanks guys for all the help. I did add the call-by-call table still didn't work. The problem was the provider they did have it set for outcaling. Thanks again for all the help.
