Just wondered if any of you chaps had any experience of installing any equipment (ideally IP Office!) in France?

We've got a couple of engineers over in Paris and we're struggling to bring an Orange provided ISDN30 into service, Layer 1 comes up but layer 2 fails.

Default config setup with 1 Universal IP500 PRI card, lines are setup as Point to multipoint. I don't really know much more than that at the minute so just after any general experinces/tips really. As far as I'm aware it should be pretty much a standard ETSI line and no gotchas?!

Thanks in advance
Yes we're an autorised Business Partner, just not a French one ;)

Pri is easy.
Crc yes or no and the rest is default.
This is also over there.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

As we thought, looks like an issue with the provider in that case...

Thanks for the reply

Good luck,

The French are stubborn and arrogant (most of them)

lol, so very true... The good news is that the ISDN fairies came in over night and this morning everything worked fine, miraculous!

Thanks

did you get a box on the wall? we did a PRI in france and were given the end of a cable. turns out you need to specify if you want it terminated or not...
