Is there anyway to translate a DID from one number to another? I have a few DIDs that are 9xxx and 9 on my switch is the outside line feature.

I have tried to search the forum but I get no results.

Thanks,
Scott

Yes IDC (Incoming Digit Conversion) load 49,
I have a 9XXX DID number and my AC1=9 all I do is covert 9XXX into some other number and it works fine, you have to build a IDC table with the incoming number and the conversion number and then assign the table number to the incoming DID route, you will have day and a night prompt in the RDB.

OK, I have never done any of this. I don't even have a full set of books. Can someone post an example?

Thanks,
Scott

Here you go;
>ld 49

DGT000
MEM AVAIL: (U/P): 23419473 USED U P: 4838618 299217 TOT: 28557308
DISK SPACE NEEDED: 498 KBYTES
2MB BACKUP DISKETTE(S) NEEDED: 1 (PROJECTED LD43 - BKO)
REQ chg

TYPE idc

CUST 0

DCNO 1

IDGT 9123

9123 6123
(return)
(return)

Done! Pretty easy.

When I try this I get:

>ld 49
DGT000
MEM AVAIL: (U/P): 2680734 USED U P: 394752 70241 TOT: 3145727
DISK RECS AVAIL: 428
REQ chg
TYPE idc
CUST 0
SCH0137
CUST

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Scott

Try another customer number? Is customer 0 what you use when building new sets?

Maybe you don't have one setup? Do a prt on the IDC in 49, when it ask dcno enter past it, you might have to do a NEW instead of a CHG

Now I have tried a new and I get

>ld 49
DGT000
MEM AVAIL: (U/P): 2680734 USED U P: 394752 70241 TOT: 3145727
DISK RECS AVAIL: 428
REQ new
TYPE idc
CUST 0
SCH0137
CUST

Am I missing something?

Yes 0 is the only configured customer

In ld 15, you need to have IDCA set to yes, before you can perform digit conversions.
