I have a customer with a BCM50 installed new in 2008. The customer recently switched to another service provider and claims that since converting to a new carrier that the forwarding of DID calls to voicemail(Call Pilot) is not working the same as it did with the previous provider. There were no changes made to the configuration of the BCM during the change of providers.

The phone used is a T7208 with 2 icm keys, the target line has the phone's extension number as the prime set. DRT is set for 6 rings. Two DID calls will ring and can be answered, the third DID call hits the BCM, drops and forwards to the carriers listed forwarding number that is used when the circuit is out of service or for calls that don't have a valid destination. If I set the target line's prime set to be the VM DN then the third DID call will end up in the General Delivery mailbox. The customer claims the third call used to go straight to the extensions mailbox.

When I tested this internally, my third call received a busy and did not FNA to the VM.

Is it possible for a third call to go the mailbox if the station only has two ICM's?

Thanks, Bill

What happens with you were to assign 3 Intercom keys?.
In the extension set details, is the Fqd Busy set to the voicemail DN?.

If I assign 3 ICMs the same thing happens where call number 4 will be rejected and not sent to the users mailbox. The customer is using the other keys on the 7208 and does not have room to add one.

In the extension details we have the phone set to FNA after 4 rings to 334 which is the VM DN and nothing set in the fwd/bsy option. If I set fwd/bsy to VM then the extension will not receive the second as it will go straight to VM.

Thanks!

Try reducing your intercom paths and making the target line appear and ring with as many appearances as you want. Phone won't be busy until all appearances are full.
