I tried searching tek-tips but for whatever reason the search only returns hits from 2006-2007 for me.

We have an IP Office 406 V2 running 4.2(11). We recently switched over to a TW Telecom PRI. I'm having two issues since we made the switch and TW says that the first issue isn't on their end.

Issue 1: Caller ID only shows the phone number, but doesn't give us the name of the inbound caller.

Issue 2: I'm not getting any secondary dial tone after dialing 9 for an outside line, though I have it setup in the ARS for secondary dial tone.

Any directions that I should be looking in?

cant help with your issue, but to find newer results, search google prefixing your search with qid=940.

Search has been busted for ages.

run system monitor and turn on all the layer 1 2 and 3 traces and make a call into your site. see if name comes in. i have found there really are no settings in the IPO for this if they send it you should get it unless you have a tag on the incoming call route.

#2 what does you system short code for 9 look like?

TomMills - Thanks for that info on the searching!

kwing112000 - I've tried what you suggested and here's the result:

#1: I get the following info when I try to call in-
432775074mS ISDNL1Rx: v=1 peb=1 ...>............
...l.!.#########
#p..**********

# is my mobile number that I called in from
* is the number I dialed

#2: 9N;

it looks like the provider is not sending the name in. you would see it come thru. for number 2 try removing the ; on it. you dont need it. should look like this

9N
dial
N
50Main or whatever your ARS is.

In your ARS routes do you have secondary dial tone ticked?
Mike

kwing112000 - Perfect, changing that in the short code fixed the issue!

Teletechman - Yep, I had the secondary dial tone selected but my shortcode wasn't set properly.

It's pid=940 for IP Office forum results in the search qid=940 was a typo I think :)
